At present these accounts are only available from one progressive bank in Austria. We have assured their representative that our clients will not do anything to jeopardize the operation of the bank's ATM Sparbuchs or the low profile these accounts currently enjoy. Description
The Sparbuch is in the form of a savings book with 16 pages inside a laminated cover. Each account has a magnetic code strip on the back cover for use with the cash machines. Please keep the book from being bent or damaged as this will affect its operation. The current rate of interest is 4.5% per annum.
Features
You can make deposits and withdrawals from any of the bank's ATM machines 7 days a week from 7 AM until 10 PM. You can either deposit or withdraw up to a maximum of Eur 17,000 per month without the worries of facing bank employees and having language difficulties. If you were to withdraw more than that from a traditional Sparbuch you would need to identify yourself.
Locations
There are currently five locations: three in Vienna, one in Linz and one in Salzburg, with more to follow all around Austria. All these branches are located within their own locked foyer at major train stations. These are perfect location for you to visit. During the day the railway stations are full of traveling locals, foreign businessmen and tourists. In the early mornings and late evenings they are virtually deserted:
Vienna West Railway Station (Westbahnhof): upper departure level.
Vienna South Railway Station (Südbahnhof): 2nd floor departure level.
Vienna Middle Railway Station (Wien Mitte, Landstrasse): outside, left to the main entrance.
Linz Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof): departure level.
Salzburg Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof): on the right side in the main hall.
Operation of the Sparbuch
In order to maintain your anonymity, we suggest that you do NOT deposit or withdraw more than Eur 8,000 per day and or withdraw MORE than Euro 17,000 per month. In the event you do withdraw more than that amount you will be required to produce a valid passport.
Helpful Tips and Hints
Read all the above instructions carefully before using this highly valuable and anonymous banking product.
Always keep your Sparbuch in the plastic folder provided in order to protect the pages from getting dirty.
When you make a deposit or withdrawal, in order to maintain your anonymity DO NOT deposit or WITHDRAW more than Eur 8,000 over per or withdrawal MORE THAN Eur 17,000 per month. May we suggest two or even three Sparbuchs for depositing and withdrawing larger amounts.
Once the cash is deposited or withdrawn, the tell with valid the amount in your sparbuch. In the event you have TWO or more Sparbuchs, DO NOT deposit or withdraw cash from the same bank, the same day.
